We had a cuteness overload at Summer Club this afternoon as the brilliant Pets At Home staff visited with gerbils, rats, a hamster, guinea pigs and two rabbits. We learned lots about how to look after our pets - and especially good advice for when the school gets new guinea pigs in the infant's playground next term. Apparently they really like to nibble on apple tree branches so Wild Garden Club will get the bow saws out to find some treats for them. The rabbits decided to give the children a walk outside hopping away and tugging on their leashes! I think several of the children will be dragging their family along to the store at Foss Islands to visit the favourite Snuggles the guinea pig.
