Last Thursday the Summer Club visited Mancroft Park just around the corner from school. We visited the parts of the long grass edges that we helped clear and sow wild flower seeds with Eco Sapiens and Friends of Mancroft Park a few weeks ago.

As you can see from the header picture we found lots of flowers helping to attract more pollinating insects to the park. We found several different species of butterflies, moths, hoverflies, bees and even teeny tiny pollen beetles - a great start to the Bring the Buzz and Polli:Nation projects we are involved with. You can see our butterfly survey results at http://www.bigbutterflycount.org/results

Of course while we were there we also had to use the brilliant play equipment and kick a ball about till we all needed our lunch!
