Bowsaws, loppers and secateurs battled long and hard against the overgrown bushes and maple tree next to 'The Patch'. Children from years one to six had a chance to use the tools and they did a great job. Now we can get around the corners of the garden without being prodded and the beds nearest the tree have lots more light after some long low-hanging branches came down. We looked closer at the branches and found lots of lichen on the bark and eggs on the leaves, so we will pop pictures of them on i-spot to see if we can find out which animal laid them.
