Summer Club has been fun in the sun so far. After only a few days we have been crafty with loom bands and picture frames, been sporty with a mini sports day competition and nature smart looking after the gardens and chickens and having a visit from Phil at Eco Sapiens. We hunted for creepy crawlies using lots of special equipment including proper butterfly and sweep nets which gave some of us lots of exercise chasing our fluttery friends. We also managed to finish our school's Polli:Nation surveys to see how much difference our project has made to wildlife over the last three years - results to come later. We found that lots of flowers have bloomed later than expected because of the long winter - the cornflowers in the mini meadow and the sunflowers next to the club are particularly good at the moment. Come and have a relaxing look around next time you pop in!
