With the ground thawed out we have resumed our planting around the grounds. This time, at the children's request, we planted some berry bushes so we might be able to eat some later in the year - if the animals don't get to them first! We learnt that a lot of the berries we buy in the shops started growing wild in or around woods - we already have strawberries in our wood. We have chosen a site with good sun on the edge of the school wood near some blackberry plants so we thought they'd have a good chance to grow. We have added redcurrant, blackcurrant, tayberry and loganberry - we hope we have a good harvest!
